Teatro La Fenice: Guided Tour
Explore one of the most renowned theaters in all of Italy
Why you should buy your ticket on Ticket - Sitomito.
Highlights
Discover one of the most famous theaters and one of the most beautiful buildings in Venice during this guided tour. Built in 1792 in neoclassical style, the building has seen many vicissitudes: it has burned down three times. Fenice means phoenix, however, and the theater has certainly risen from its ashes. In the 19th century, the theater staged the world premieres of numerous operas, including Rossini's Tancredi, Bellini's Capuleti ei Montecchi e Beatrice di Tenda, Donizetti's Belisario, Pia de' Tolomei e Maria de Rudenz, and Verdi's La traviata. With a capacity of over 1,000 people, La Fenice boasts excellent acoustics, a 98-piece orchestra, and a 66-piece choir. More than 100 performances are staged each year, expertly conducted by the world's greatest conductors. Discover its history with a guided tour and be enchanted by the gold and stucco decorations of the monument.
